🔒Privacy Policy
AI Bible (“AI Bible”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a Bible reading, study, and devotional mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and Google account identifier.
- Content & activity you create — reading progress, bookmarks, streaks, quiz scores, app preferences, your AI study-chat messages, and prayer requests (including any name, email, or phone number you choose to include).
- Device & technical data — device model, operating system, app version, language/region, a push-notification token (if you enable notifications), and advertising identifiers.
- Offering/payment data — when you make an offering, payment is processed by our payment provider (Razorpay). We receive the transaction status and reference IDs only; we never receive or store your card numbers, UPI PIN, or banking credentials.
How we use your information
- Provide core features and sync your place, bookmarks, and settings across your devices.
- Generate responses from the in-app AI study companion.
- Send the daily verse and reading reminders you opt into.
- Process voluntary offerings and keep a record of them for you.
- Show advertisements that keep the App free.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the App.
AI study companion
Messages you send to the AI study companion are transmitted to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a reply. Please don’t share sensitive personal information in these chats. AI responses are generated automatically and may be imperfect — always weigh them against Scripture.
Advertising
We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may use device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. We configure ads to be family-friendly: we request a maximum content rating of “G”, prefer non-personalized ads, and block sensitive categories (such as alcohol, gambling, and dating). You can manage ad personalization in your device’s Google Ads settings. See Google’s advertising policies.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the App:
- Google — sign-in and AdMob advertising.
- Anthropic — processing AI study-chat messages.
- Razorpay — processing offerings/payments.
- Expo — delivering push notifications.
- Our hosting provider — securely storing your synced data.
- Bible content provider — delivering scripture text and translations.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the App.
Data retention & your choices
We keep your information while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing us (see Contact). Deleting your account removes your synced personal data from our systems, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The App is intended for a general, family-friendly audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may be highlighted in the App.
📜Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the AI Bible app. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial devotional and study purposes.
Scripture & content
Bible text and translations are provided through third-party content providers and are offered on an “as is” basis. Availability of particular translations or languages may change.
AI study companion disclaimer
The AI study companion produces automated responses that may contain errors or omissions. It is a study aid, not a substitute for Scripture, prayer, your local church, or qualified pastoral, legal, medical, or financial advice. Always verify guidance against the Bible and trusted counsel.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
- Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose or to submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content (including in prayer requests or AI chats).
Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
Offerings
Offerings made through the App are voluntary and are governed by the Offerings & Refund Policy below.
Intellectual property
The App’s design, branding, and original content are owned by AI Bible or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Third-party scripture content remains the property of its respective rights holders.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Bible shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
🕊️Offerings & Refund Policy
The App lets you make voluntary offerings to support the ministry and the continued development of AI Bible.
How offerings work
- Offerings are made in Indian Rupees (INR) and processed securely through Razorpay using methods such as UPI, cards, net banking, and wallets.
- Giving is entirely optional — the App’s reading and study features remain free whether or not you give.
- We do not receive or store your payment credentials.
Erroneous or duplicate transactions
Because offerings are gifts, they are not refundable as a matter of course. However, if you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a clear technical fault — please contact us within 7 days of the transaction with the date, amount, and payment reference. We will review genuine cases in good faith and, where a billing error is confirmed, may issue a refund at our discretion. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically settle within 5–7 business days, subject to your bank/UPI provider.
Contact for offering questions
For any question about an offering, email us at the address below and include your payment reference so we can help quickly.
